Directly supervises and coordinate activities for the shipping and finishing areas to ensure that each operation is completed in a timely manner and are to the customers’ requirements. Ensures that all personnel in respective departments are coached, trained and properly motivated in order to reach Company’s goals. May have to perform some of the functions directly in order to meet requirements. Must ensure that each subordinate is trained and/ or understands the customers’ quality requirements and they are meeting those quality requirements and ensure that product is conforming to customer requirements prior to shipping to customer. Must update shipping schedule daily and responsible for coaching, training and motivating employees and also ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner. Review production schedules and shipping schedules to determine work sequences and material shipping and receiving dates, types, volumes, and destinations. Plan work assignments in finishing and shipping areas to meet shipping goals. Inspect physical conditions of responsible areas for safety and EPA compliance, machine wear, and overall housekeeping.
